Giants' 'D' plan of attack
Jerry Reese said last week that new Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo had given the general manager a list of draft-eligible players he liked. Ultimately, it's Reese's call on whom to draft, but the Giants would benefit from taking players who fit Spagnuolo's system.
In the secondary, the Giants return all four starters, plus R.W. McQuarters, who started 11 games at corner. But cornerback is still a position of need for the Giants, and there is a high volume of first-day draft talent at the position."Their best percentage to get a quality player is at linebacker first and cornerback second," said former Texans GM Charlie Casserly, an analyst for CBS Sports.
