Justin Tuck wasn't seeing red. He was seeing white. When he got within hitting distance of Panthers quarterback David Carr on Saturday night, Tuck didn't pull up. For the first time in nearly a year, he unloaded as the ball was released. "I actually got to hit him this time instead of running by him," the third-year defensive end said yesterday. "He didn't have a red (non-contact) jersey on in this game."
Although it was a preseason game, it was a huge relief for Tuck. "Being out for (10) months, you really get out of the loop as far as (thinking), 'What is it going to feel like being on this football field, playing in a real game situation?'" said Tuck, who suffered a mid-foot sprain in a Week 7 game against the Cowboys last season. "My fiancée asked me about (my foot) after the game. I was like, 'You know what? It was just like I hadn't been hurt at all.'" Continue
