Michael Strahan made a quiet entrance yesterday, arriving well after his teammates had come and gone for meetings and weightlifting and departing Giants Stadium just as quietly. He met with general manager Jerry Reese for 10 minutes and with Tom Coughlin for a few minutes.
The delayed arrival was caused by the Giants' need to get the NFL Players Association to sign off on the fine imposed on Strahan - the team did not make him fork over the entire $514,368 owed for his 36-day holdout, only a "significant amount," said a person with knowledge of the total - and having to wait for someone from the union to be available on the holiday.
