The Patriots carry themselves as if they are NFL royalty, and the Giants are anxious to shove them off their throne. Now that Tom Coughlin has declared he is playing to win Saturday night despite having the No. 5 playoff seed locked up, the Giants were feisty yesterday, chirping about their desire to end the undefeated dream for the Patriots, who are trying to complete an unprecedented 16-0 regular season and carry that through to a 19-0 season.

Pierce believes Brady looks indignant on the rare occasions when a defensive player has the audacity to lay his mitts on him. "I mean, watching on film when Philly was hitting him, the guy looks at them like, 'Wow, I got touched by the defense.' He doesn't get hit often, Pierce said. "And he walks with an arrogance. I'm a die-hard Pats fan. Have been since I started watching football in 1996 at age of 28 when my son started watching and made me watch one day, and I haven't stopped since. But, I'm writing here to say how well I think NY played Saturday. Manning and the whole team played awesome, the best I think they played all year, especially Manning. They had me worried right from the begining. just thought I'd let you all know how I felt, and any real football fan HAS to feel the same because loving your own team is great, but you nead them all to have the awesome sport of FOOTBALL.
