There is still a looooong way to go from here to Super Bowl XLII, with plenty of time for dramatic twists and turns. But after what we've seen from the Giants the last three weeks, one thing we can now say is this: It is not absurd to place them in the discussion about which team will represent the NFC three weeks from Sunday. As general manager Jerry Reese said when the Giants were teetering after a loss to Minnesota dropped them to 7-4: "All you have to do is get in. You get hot and you can win some games."
The Giants are hot; maybe the hottest team in the NFC. They just spanked the Bucs on the road, solving their cover 2 defense and vanquishing past playoff demon Jeff Garcia. The week before that, they played well enough to beat the Patriots. And before that, it was a furious comeback at Buffalo to clinch a playoff berth. Continue
In what year did Beasley Reece race that horse? Surprisingly, I can't find much evidence of that mortal battle online. Maybe two or three Google hits. Was hoping to see it on Youtube...
