Giants ready for Heroes' welcome
They return home as true Giants now - these longshot underdogs who pulled off a series of improbable upsets to become Super Bowl champions. Now a ticker-tape parade and the cheers of their fans await them on Tuesday morning when they'll ride up the Canyon of Heroes and be feted at City Hall.
"I was a rookie and coming out of the hospital [from knee surgery] when the Yankees had one of their parades and I thought to myself, 'I want to have one of those before I am done here,'" veteran wide receiver Amani Toomer said. "Now is the time. I can't wait." Frenzied fans got a jump start last night, braving the cold at Newark Airport to see the World Champion G-Men land just before 7 bearing the Vince Lombardi trophy. I am a Patriots fan and watched all the postgame interviews from both teams and some moments from the Giants victory parade(congrats to all real Giants fans by the way, not the bandwagon jumpers that just hated the Patriots)and after letting it all sink in, other than a handful of Giants players most of them acted like small children and Michael strahan who i used to think was a class act( no more though)screaming about how the giants "stomped" the patriots proved only one thing, the giants, also like members of the patriots team and coaching staff have been accused of, as a whole have no class. its ok to be pumped up about winning the super bowl but be gracious, you beat a great team that beat YOU a few weeks before.Once again Congrats to Giants fans, feels good huh?

Ya, a great team. You mean a cheating organization. A dynasty, you have not won a SB
in almost 4 years now. Don't use the word great ever again. You're team is a bunch of blowhards, cheaters, and HGH junkies. When it all comes down to it, you're just pissed off that
the cheaters this time didn't win. You're team lost to the 2nd youngest team in the NFL. What stray meant to say was, "Slapped around like a red headed step child".

I have a retort to a Giants fan that was obviously upset by my comments following the Giants victory parade in early Feb. Normally I would not respond to such an obviously angry fan but here it goes-Hey man your team won! Congrats! but bask in your win, I respect your team! I am a football fan and respect the upset factor so switch to decaf.

OK... actually as a whole the Giants were a pretty calssy bunch, and held the Pats to their lowest scoring total of the season which says a lot about their coaching. Strahan, however, started the season as a dumb*ss with his "retirement" (holdout), ran his mouth throughout the playoffs, and closed out the year with his half-bright "stomp" comments when even the most casual observer could clearly see it was a very close, hard-fought game. Would the Giants win 2 out of 3...?
The jury may be out on the Pats "dynasty", but they are the presumptive favorite to win next year for some reason, one would think. Eli sure played his ass off though. Throughout the game I kept thinking back to comments Madden made about him that were less rthan glowing during one of Sun. PM games this year...
Congrats to the Giants and their fans (...but Strahan really ought to put a cork in it).
