The Giants placed Super Bowl hero David Tyree on the physically-unable-to-perform list. Tyree, who is rehabilitating a surgically repaired right knee, will be eligible to return in Week 6 of the NFL season, but will not be able to practice until then. "At one point I argued with the decision, but I am still about three weeks away," Tyree told the Associated Press. "I have been running routes and I have not had any drawbacks, which is good. "But at the same time, that's a roster spot, and guys have to go out there and go to war."
Tyree's spectacular one-handed catch against his helmet for a 32-yard gain with Rodney Harrison draped all over him kept the Giants' game-winning touchdown drive alive as they stunned the previously unbeaten Patriots to win the Super Bowl. Continue
