Steve Spagnuolo was standing on the field Friday talking to linebacker Chase Blackburn and neither noticed that practice was moving on without them. That's when Antonio Pierce came up behind them, grabbed them both and said, "Hey, we're in there now." That's Pierce in a nutshell. Always thinking, and always there. And he left no doubt Friday that he'll be there Monday night, too.
The Giants' middle linebacker, and the leader of their defense, said he will play against the Cleveland Browns even though he's missed the last two days of practice with an injured quad. He's officially listed as questionable, although he's expected to practice Saturday. And even if he doesn't practice, he has no intention of sitting out the game. "I'll be there Monday night, 8:30," Pierce said. "You'll see me. I'll never miss a game unless I'm on IR. I'll be there." Continue
