A resolute and at times defiant Antonio Pierce refused to answer any questions Thursday about his involvement in the Plaxico Burress shooting.
However, the linebacker made it clear that he plans on starting Sunday against the Eagles and that nothing will distract him from doing his job as the team's defensive captain.
"The Philadelphia Eagles are a good team and come Sunday, Antonio, No. 58, should be on the field and will be on the field," Pierce said in his first meeting with reporters since Saturday's shooting. "I am good. I am ready to go play football. I am about as focused as I could be. When distractions come up, you turn a negative into a positive and that is my option." Continue
