The Giants' players seem to want Plaxico Burress back, and GM Jerry Reese said he "absolutely" could return.
But Tom Coughlin apparently isn't so sure.
Speaking Wednesday on WFAN in an interview with Mike Francesa, Coughlin said he's "not ready to say" whether he'd welcome back his troubled No. 1 receiver. Even though his offense fell apart down the stretch without Burress, Coughlin said there's a lot to think about before considering a return.
"You know what? I'm not ready to say that," Coughlin said. "I'm not ready to say that because we need to sit down and think about it and talk about that and see what the circumstance might be. And I told everyone, I told the world, that Plaxico is a member of our team and I am concerned about him, for his well-being and that of his family. But the issues that I have to think about are that there are 52 other guys in that locker room as well." Continue
