Kenny Phillips, who is out for the season with patellofemoral arthritis in his left knee, underwent surgery on Tuesday and expects to be unable to run for four to five months.
The Giants safety, who announced the surgery on his Web site, said the rehab will be "a long process.... It's going to be a while before I'm back to 100%." Some orthopedic surgeons said his condition - and the microfracture surgery needed to correct it - could be career-ending.
Phillips, however, vowed to make "a speedy recovery" and promised "I'll be back better than ever next year." The surgery, according to Phillips, was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Albama. Phillips wrote that he was en route back to New Jersey Wednesday and expects to be on crutches for at least eight weeks. (Daily News)
It's the 2nd qtr of giants eagles and for the 1st time in 30 yrs I have turned the game off. Who is the real coach ? Is it the offensive coordinator or Tom C, I have never been so frustrated in watching the giants play as now.3rd and 2, 30 yrd pass? 3rd and 1, 25 yrd pass? I can name several HS teams who could kick the giants ass. I am burning all my giants memorbila.
What the F is going on. I would bet anything that if G continues the way they are,no more wins in 09,Coughlin you should be ashamed!!
