The most stunning part of the Giants’ Thanksgiving night loss to the Broncos might not have been the offense’s being held to the fewest points in four years or the 52-yard field goal by Lawrence Tynes.
Rather, it might have been a brief exchange between NFL Network announcers Bob Papa and Matt Millen.
“Just sitting there, watching tapes the last few days of this Giants defense and in talking to Bill Sheridan, their defensive coordinator, this is not a physical Giant defense,” Millen said. “And they have always been physical.”
